Los Angeles, California - With a call to the public to report hate crimes to law enforcement authorities, Acting United States Attorney Tracy L. Wilkison and FBI Assistant Director in Charge Kristi K. Johnson today condemned bigotry, racism and hatred against the Asian American and Pacific Islander community.

San Diego, California - Deepanshu Kher was sentenced Monday in federal court to two years in prison for accessing the server of a Carlsbad Company and deleting over 1,200 over the company’s 1,500 Microsoft User Accounts.

San Diego, California - A local business owner was sentenced in federal court Monday on charges of bank fraud and tax evasion. David Daughtrey, 60, of El Cajon, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Larry A. Burns to 18 months in custody and ordered to pay restitution of $1,519,590.63. 

Sacramento, California - Patricia Castaneda, 37, of San Carlos, pleaded guilty Monday to federal program theft, and in a separate case, her brother Eric Castaneda, 36, of Redwood City, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to transport stolen property interstate, Acting U.S. Attorney Phillip A. Talbert announced.

Washington, DC - The Justice Department announced Friday that Sonia Tabizada, 36, of San Jacinto, California, was sentenced to 15 months and 13 days for intentionally obstructing persons in the enjoyment of their free exercise of religious beliefs by threatening to bomb the Georgetown Visitation Preparatory School in Washington, D.C. 

Arlington, Virginia - A Virginia man was sentenced Friday to more than eight years in prison for his involvement in a fraud scheme resulting in millions of dollars of losses to investors.
