Sacramento, California - The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has announced that additional waterfowl hunting opportunities will soon be available at Upper Butte Basin Wildlife Area. The Llano Seco Unit of the Upper Butte Basin Wildlife Area will open for waterfowl hunting on Saturday, December 13, 2014. Additionally, special hunting blinds for hunters who possess a junior hunting license will open at Howard Slough Unit of Upper Butte Basin Wildlife Area on Saturday, December 20, 2014.

Sacramento, California - Michael Lott, 39, of Vallejo, was sentenced to 14 years in prison yesterday after entering guilty pleas to drug trafficking charges in a wide-ranging conspiracy to distribute MDMA and crack cocaine, United States Attorney Benjamin B. Wagner announced. In imposing sentence, Chief United States District Judge Morrison C. England, Jr. said the defendant was at the center of a massive drug conspiracy and his conduct warranted a significant sentence.
