Condemned Inmate’s Death Investigated as a Suicide

San Quentin, California - Condemned inmate Michael Lamont Jones, 44, who was on California’s death row from Riverside County, was pronounced dead at San Quentin State Prison on Monday afternoon, May 25, 2015, at 3:51 p.m. The cause of death is pending the results of an autopsy; however, the death is being investigated as a suicide. Jones was single-celled.
