Winterhaven, California - White was last seen on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 swimming in the All American Canal, East of Highway 186 (Andrade Road) near the Quechan Casino in Winterhaven. A welfare check was conducted on White and released shortly after. White has been diagnosed with a mental condition that increases his unpredictability/aggressive tendencies. White has family in Yuma County and the Winterhaven areas.

Sacramento, California - Assemblyman Eduardo Garcia (D-Coachella) got seven bills today out of Appropriations Committee and will next go to the Assembly floor for a vote. Topping his bill list are two local measures, AB 965 (New River) and AB 1095 (Salton Sea), which will coordinate funding for potential solutions to fix and clean the New River in Calexico and Salton Sea in the Coachella/Imperial Valleys.

Richard, Assistant Secretary of State for Population, Refugees, and Migration will lead the U.S. delegation to the regional migration meeting hosted by the Government of Thailand in Bangkok on May 29. She will then travel to Kuala Lumpur and Alor Setar, Malaysia, from May 30 to June 1, and to Jakarta and Aceh, Indonesia, from June 1-3. In both Malaysia and Indonesia, she will meet with government officials, representatives of international organizations, and rescued migrants and asylum seekers.

Los Angeles, California - A portion of Los Angeles County has been placed under quarantine for the guava fruit fly (GFF) following the detection of eight adult GFF within the City of Long Beach. The quarantine area in Los Angeles County measures 80 square miles, bordered on the north by Southern Avenue; on the south by E. Stearns Street; on the west by Central Avenue; and on the east by Norwalk Boulevard.
