Apple Valley, California - A Guatemalan national in the custody of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) passed away late Wednesday at St. Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley after suffering a heart attack.

Sacramento, California - The Bureau of Reclamation has prepared an Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact for the Firebaugh Canal Water District First Lift Canal Lining Project Phase 3. The EA details Reclamation’s proposed CALFED Water Use Efficiency grant of $500,000 to the District to reduce canal seepage and improve water reliability. The public was provided an opportunity to review and comment on the EA from November 10-24, 2015; no comments were received.
