Sacramento, California - Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. today joined forces with an unprecedented alliance of heads of state, city and state leaders – convened by the World Bank Group and International Monetary Fund – to urge countries and companies around the globe to put a price on carbon.

San Francisco, California - Attorney General Kamala D. Harris will join Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus R. Vance, Jr. and President Jeremy Travis of the John Jay College of Criminal Justice in the formation of a partnership to launch the Institute for Innovation in Prosecution (IIP).  Attorney General Harris will serve on the Institute’s Advisory Board.

Oakland, California - Melvin Landry, Jr. and Dominique Marquis Martin were sentenced on Tuesday, for their participation in a case involving a spree of armed robberies of commercial businesses in and around the Bay Area, announced Acting United States Attorney Brian J. Stretch; FBI Special Agent in Charge David J. Johnson; and Internal Revenue Service, Criminal Investigation, Acting Special Agent in Charge Thomas McMahon.
