Fairfield, Connecticut - The United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) on Wednesday, July 1, announced in Dar es Salaam that it was expecting the number of Burundian refugees in Tanzania to increase from the current 70,000 to between 250,000 and 500,000 as a result of the continued volatile situation related to the presidential elections in Burundi, scheduled to be held on July 15.

Sacramento, California - The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) voted unanimously, 5-0, Friday to adopt a slightly revised version of the original proposed decision in its residential rate reform proceeding. The decision directs California’s investor-owned utilities to begin piloting time-of-use programs in preparation for transitioning all residential customers automatically in 2019.

Imperial, California - Tonight marks the 25th year that KXO FM107.5 has produced Freedom Fest for the Imperial Valley. Freedom Fest began in 1991 , the year the Gulf War ended. It has since become the largest single day event in Imperial County with nearly 60,000 friendly souls on and around the campus of Imperial Valley College.
