Hochul, Jr. announced today that a federal grand jury in Buffalo returned a two-count Indictment on December 17, 2014, charging Tracy Anderson, age 43, of Tonawanda, New York, with knowingly and willfully making a false document and unlawfully receiving supplemental security income, in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Sections 1001(a)(3) and 641.

Puerto Cortes, Honduras - Law enforcement intercepted thousands of pieces of wood, concealing approximately 423 kilograms of cocaine, in Honduras December 22. The interception was part of a multi-agency law enforcement effort targeting transnational drug trafficking organizations. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Assistant Attaché Office in Honduras, the Honduran National Police's Transnational Criminal Investigative Unit and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) participated in the enforcement effort.

Washington, DC - During the week of December 14, 2014, USDA confirmed two findings of highly pathogenic avian influenza in wild birds in Washington State and in a small backyard poultry flock in Oregon. We reported these findings to the World Animal Health Organization (OIE) as required. As a result of the findings, some countries have placed restrictions on U.S. poultry exports.
