SB 107 and AB 2 will help cities and counties streamline efforts to enhance affordable housing in areas that need it the most.

Washington, DC - USDA Secretary Tom Vilsack and Environmental Protection Agency Deputy Administrator Stan Meiburg have announced the United States’ first-ever national food waste reduction goal, calling for a 50-percent reduction by 2030. As part of the effort, the federal government will lead a new partnership with charitable organizations; faith-based organizations; the private sector; and local, state and tribal governments to reduce food loss and waste in order to improve overall food security and conserve our nation’s natural resources.

Washington, DC - Across the globe, young leaders are making their voices heard in the food system. From September 21-23, 2015, 75 alumni of the Barilla Center for Food & Nutrition (BCFN) network will travel from 17 countries to gather at the 2015 Milan EXPO. The alumni will develop recommendations with guidance from food system experts, launching a youth manifesto at the end of the event.
