Washington, DC - Jacob Moss, an Environmental Protection Agency employee who was on detail to the Department of State, will receive the prestigious 2015 Service to America Medal from the Partnership for Public Service at tonight’s Samuel J. Heyman Service to America Medal Awards Gala. While at the Department of State, Mr. Moss forged a coalition of federal and international agencies, countries, and corporations to bring more efficient cook stoves and cleaner burning fuels to homes in developing nations, which is protecting the environment and the health of millions of people worldwide.
City of Holtville wins major award against Black Dog Farms via Jury trial

Holtville, California - A jury awarded City of Holtville the sum of $665,588.00 against Black Dog Farms of California after an eight day trial. The jury determined that in August, 2009, Black Dog Farms negligently started a fire which spread to a nearby river bottom and seriously damaged the iconic railroad trestle over the Alamo River.
