Washington, DC - Assistant Secretary for Consular Affairs Michele Thoren Bond will visit the United Kingdom September 8-10, 2015. While there, she will participate in the Five Country Conference (FCC), a consortium of government immigration agencies including Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States, whose cooperation enables collaborative projects and information sharing among member countries.

On September 9, Assistant Secretary Bond will sign an Implementing Arrangement between the United States and Austraila that will allow for real-time information sharing between immigration agencies of the two countries.

Assistant Secretary Bond will also visit the site of the new U.S. Embassy in London. Construction of the new embassy compound is scheduled to be complete by December 2016.
