Washington, DC - Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Nisha Biswal will host Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Cheng Guoping in Washington on June 9 for a U.S.-China Sub-Dialogue on Central Asia, which is one of several regional sub-dialogues under the broader U.S.-China Strategic and Economic Dialogue (S&ED) framework.

Assistant Secretary Biswal and Vice Foreign Minister Cheng will discuss potential areas of U.S.-China cooperation in Central Asia, including initiatives on fostering greater regional economic connectivity with Afghanistan and beyond to South Asia.
