Washington, DC - U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry will deliver remarks at the 2016 SelectUSA Investment Summit at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 21, at the Washington Hilton Hotel in Washington, D.C.

The Secretary will address the benefits of expanding foreign direct investment for communities both at home and abroad. He will also speak about the vital importance of developing strong economic and commercial ties across the globe as part of the State Department’s work to deepen diplomatic relationships, advance our nation’s interests, and uphold universal values worldwide.

Secretary Kerry’s remarks will conclude the two-day SelectUSA Summit. The Summit, hosted by President Barack Obama and the Department of Commerce as part of the Administration’s SelectUSA Initiative, will bring together more than 2,000 people from nearly 70 markets, including investors from all over the world, economic development organizations from across the country, high-level local, state, and federal government officials, and others working to facilitate investment in the United States. More than 20 Chiefs of Mission will personally lead delegations to the Summit. ‎
