El Centro, California - Yesterday, at approximately 9:20 AM, the El Centro Police Communications Center received a call of a victim of a stabbing at the El Centro Regional Medical Center. The victim indicated at approximately 9:15 AM today,  he was at a fast food restaurant located on the  300 of North Imperial Ave. when he was randomly stabbed once by a subject for no apparent reason. Officers immediately responded to the area to look for the suspect.

At 10:02 hours, the El Centro Police Department Communications Center received a report of a second stabbing that had just occurred in front of a business on the 600 Block of North Imperial. Officers arrived on scene and located the suspect on the 700 Block of North Imperial.  The suspect was quickly arrested without any further injuries to the public. The second victim was also taken to El Centro Regional Medical Center for treatment. The suspect was identified as the individual who stabbed both victims. Both incidents are still currently under investigation; however, primary evidence indicates both assaults were unprovoked and the victims had no prior relationship with the suspect.
