Buffalo, New York - U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers at the Peace Bridge seized over 293 grams of synthetic lysergic acid diethylamide, commonly known as the hallucinogenic drug LSD, contained within small parcel shipments.

Over the past week, CBP officers at the Peace Bridge selected multiple parcel shipments for inspection. Examination of the selected shipments revealed just over a total of 293 grams of LSD that has a domestic street value of more than one million dollars. Originating in Canada, the shipments were headed for various destinations throughout the United States.

"The interception of this dangerous drug within mail destined for the United States truly exhibits the efforts our CBP officers are continuously displaying,” said Acting Port Director Sharon Swiatek. “These seizures of LSD were unique and are just another example of the vigilance and commitment our CBP officers embrace to ensure the safety and security of our communities and country.”
