Sacramento, California - Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. today announced the following appointments.

Don J. Huffman, 51, of Napa, has been reappointed to the 25th District Agricultural Association, Napa Town and Country Fair Board of Directors, where he has served since 2011. Huffman has been sustainability and wine education manager at Nomacorc LLC since 2014. He was owner of Huffman Communications and Mediabend Software from 1999 to 2013, vice president of client services at Elliott Dickens from 1996 to 1998 and account director at Kragie-Newell from 1990 to 1996. Huffman is a trustee of the Napa County Office of Education. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Huffman is a Democrat.

Rhonda Bryels-Nechanicky, 48, of Redding, has been reappointed to the 27th District Agricultural Association, Shasta District Fair Board of Directors, where she has served since 2003. Bryels-Nechanicky has been a registered nurse at Dignity Health Center in Redding since 2015. She was a coach and consultant at Tevish N. Koen Consultants LLC from 2006 to 2015 and a registered nurse at the Northern California Rehabilitation Hospital from 2008 to 2011. Bryels-Nechanicky served as a registered nurse case manager at Interim HealthCare from 1996 to 2006. She earned Master of Arts degrees in transpersonal psychology and counseling psychology from Sofia University. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Bryels-Nechanicky is a Democrat.

Paula Percy, 59, of Redding, has been reappointed to the 27th District Agricultural Association, Shasta District Fair Board of Directors, where she has served since 2011. Percy has been a contract auditor and registered nurse since 2010. She was a nursing instructor, assistant director of nursing and director of nursing at the Institute of Technology, Redding from 2011 to 2014, an internal auditor at the Shasta Regional Medical Center from 1998 to 2008, director of nursing at the Applewood Inn from 1995 to 1997 and operating room manager at Glenn County General Hospital from 1991 to 1995. Percy was circulating nurse at the Doctor’s Surgery Center from 1990 to 1991, staff nurse at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Division of Federal Employee Occupational Health in Jackson, Mississippi from 1987 to 1988 and charge nurse at the Mississippi Baptist Medical Center from 1984 to 1988. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Percy is a Democrat.

Alan Ernesto Phillips, 60, of Redding, has been reappointed to the 27th District Agricultural Association, Shasta District Fair Board of Directors, where he has served since 2014. Phillips was a founding board member and chair at the Northern Hispanic Latino Coalition from 2000 to 2013, a parenting education facilitator at Shasta County Chemical People Inc. from 1999 to 2009 and senior producer and director at TCI Media Services from 1996 to 1998. He was production manager, producer and director at KIXE-TV from 1995 to 1996. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Phillips is a Democrat.

Bryan Adcox, 43, of Sonora, has been appointed to the 29th District Agricultural Association, Mother Lode Fair Board of Directors. Adcox has been a branch manager for Wells Fargo Bank since 2004. He was a store manager for Staples Inc. from 1997 to 2004. Adcox is president of the Sonora Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Adcox is a Republican.
