Sacramento, California - Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. Friday announced the following appointments:

Christina Bradbury, 45, of Meadow Vista, has been appointed to the California Veterinary Medical Board. Bradbury has been an internist and senior veterinary associate at Vista Veterinary Specialists since 2011. She was an internist at Loomis Basin Veterinary Clinic from 2010 to 2011, a small animal internal medicine resident at Colorado State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital from 2007 to 2010 and a small animal rotating intern at Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital from 2006 to 2007. Bradbury is a member of the Sacramento Valley Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association. She earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of California, Davis School of Veterinary Medicine and a Master of Science degree in clinical science from the Colorado State University, College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. This position does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation is $100 per diem. Bradbury is registered without party preference.

Kathy Bowler, 62, of Sacramento, has been reappointed to the California Veterinary Medical Board, where she has served since 2014. Bowler has been political consultant at K. Bowler Group since 2009. She was California director for Al Gore's presidential campaign in 2000 and executive director of the California Democratic Party from 1995 to 2009. Bowler was chief executive officer at Statewide Information Systems from 1987 to 1993 and consultant for California State Senator David Roberti from 1985 to 1987. She is a member of the International Council of Veterinary Assessment Board of Directors. This position does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation is $100 per diem. Bowler is a Democrat.

Jennifer Loredo, 38, of Riverside, has been reappointed to the California Veterinary Medical Board, where she has served since 2014. Loredo has been a professor of animal science at Mt. San Antonio College since 2018. She was supervising registered veterinary technician at the Riverside County Department of Animal Services from 2005 to 2018. Loredo was a registered veterinary technician at Advanced Critical Care and Internal Medicine from 2004 to 2005 and at the Animal Hospital of Walnut from 2001 to 2004. She was a patient relations representative at Magan Medical Clinic from 1997 to 2003. This position does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation is $100 per diem. Loredo is registered without party preference.
