Washington, DC - Assistant Secretary of State for International Organization Affairs Sheba Crocker will travel to Paris, France and Geneva, Switzerland, November 2-6.

On November 2, Assistant Secretary Crocker will be in Paris to participate in activities marking the International Day to End Impunity for Crimes against Journalists, including delivering remarks at the UN Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization’s (UNESCO) launch event for its annual World Trends in Freedom of Expression and Media Development report.

From November 3-5, Assistant Secretary Crocker will be in Geneva for meetings with UN leadership, including at the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, World Health Organization, and International Telecommunication Union.

On November 6, Assistant Secretary Crocker will join the official U.S. delegation to the 38th Session of the UNESCO General Conference in Paris. Assistant Secretary Crocker will also attend a high-level luncheon on Education to Prevent and Counter Violent Extremism.
