El Centro, California - Five Imperial Valley football teams will move into the C.I.F. - San Diego football playoffs.

The Brawley Wildcats of Coach Jon Self are seeded 11th  in Division II. They will take on the #6 seed Otay Ranch Mustangs in Chula Vista. The Wildcats finished the season with a 6 and 4 record and were second in the Imperial League standings with a 4 and 1 record. The Mustangs finished 3rd in the Metro-Mesa League with a 2 and 2 record. They were 5 and 5 on the year.

In Division III , Kerry Legera's Imperial Tigers , 5 and 5 on the year and 5 and 0 for a first place IVL finish , will host the Del Norte Nighthawks of the Avocado League. Del Norte is 1 and 9 on the year and 0 and 4 in league play.

The Division IV  Southwest Eagles will get a first round home game with their #5 seed. Coach John Mitosinka's Eagles finished the season with an 8 and 2 record and 3 and 2 in league. Their opponent will be Orange Glen of Escondido. The Patriots were 0 and 4 in Valley League play and 4 and 6 on the year.

Alson in Division IV , Coach Mike Hobbs # 10 seed Central Spartans will be on the road Friday night to meet the Santana Sultans in Santee. The Spartans are 4 and 6 on the year and 2 and 3 in Imperial Valley League action. The Sultans finished the year at 6 and 4 with a 2 and 2 record in the Grossmont Valley League.

And in Division V , the Vincent Memorial Scots earned a #3 seed with a 9 and 1 overall record and 3 and 1 Manzanita League mark. Coach David Wong's charges will host #6 seed Army Navy Academy. The Cadets are 7 and 3 on the year and 3 and 2 in the Pacific League.
