Washington, DC - On June 9, 2015, the Federal Trade Commission will host a workshop to examine competition, consumer protection, and economic issues raised by the proliferation of online and mobile peer-to peer business platforms in certain sectors of the economy, often referred to as the “sharing economy.” The workshop will take place in Washington, D.C., at the FTC’s Constitution Center conference space.

Miami, Florida - At the request of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida, U.S. Marshals have seized unapproved prescription drug products valued at over $1,500,000 from Stratus Pharmaceuticals, Inc., of Miami, Florida. Stratus Pharmaceuticals marketed and distributed unapproved prescription drug products that were manufactured by Sonar Products, Inc., of Carlstadt, New Jersey.
