New York - The Department of State is pleased to announce the U.S. Delegation attending the 59th Session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW), held March 9–20, 2015, at UN Headquarters in New York.

They are accompanied by the following six Public Delegates:

Other members of the U.S. Delegation include technical experts from the Department of State, including the United States Mission to the United Nations and several bureaus and offices; USAID; the Department of Health and Human Services; the Millennium Challenge Corporation; as well as officials from the White House and Representative Carolyn Maloney (NY-12).

The theme of this year’s session is the twentieth anniversary of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, including current challenges that affect its implementation and the achievement of gender equality and the empowerment of women. The session will also address opportunities for achieving gender equality and the empowerment of women in the post-2015 development agenda.
