El Centro, California - Claudia and Joe Parra run a local water damage restoration business in El Centro called 911 Restoration of Imperial County. To promote their business, they first considered purchasing a booth at business conventions.

"It was just too expensive," Claudia says, "and the overall emphasis was on business instead of the community."

They then realized that other local businesses must also have run into the same problem. The pair decided to host their own Community Business Showcase instead. The goal is to connect with other small local business owners while giving back to the community.

"Within a few days I had more than 20 local vendors signing up. Even our kids offer to help out by posting flyers around our neighborhood!"

The Community Business Showcase takes place on July 16, 2015. Door opens at 5pm and closes at 8pm. The address is 711 Park Ave. El Centro, CA 92243.

The event is FREE for everyone to attend. Complimentary refreshments, fun prizes, exciting local vendors with new products will be provided.
