Imperial, California - The Imperial County Registrar of Voters Office is launching a new early voting program that will allow registered voters to cast their ballots prior to the November 8, 2016 Election Day from the Imperial County Department of Social Services Mobile Office.  The Mobile Office is a 36 foot RV that will visit eleven different communities throughout Imperial County on designated days to make voting more convenient and accessible.

El Centro, California - Yesterday, the Imperial County Board of Supervisors announced the appointment of Ben Salorio as the new Chief Public Defender of the Imperial County Public Defender’s Office (ICPDO) to replace retiring Chief Public Defender Timothy Reilly who retires on October 13, 2016.  Mr. Salorio will begin serving as Chief Public Defender on October 14, 2016.

El Centro, California - Today, the Imperial County Board of Supervisors announced the appointment of Andrea Kuhlen as the new Director of the Imperial County Behavioral Health Services (ICBHS) to replace former director Michael Horn who retired last month.  Mrs. Kuhlen will begin serving as the director effective immediately.

El Centro, California - Tomorrow as many of us are settled at our desks, contemplating the weekend ahead of us – two of our very own locals will be hundreds of guests gathered to recognize our Chapter’s honorees for this year’s REAL HEROES celebration.

Calexico, California - Assemblymember Eduardo Garcia will host a public meeting to discuss the New River and the State of California’s plan to address this long standing environmental issue in Imperial County.  This is the second meeting this year that will provide an update to the community given allocated funding to address this public health and safety concern.

El Centro, California - Friday, October 7, the Imperial County Sheriff’s Office will be participating in the first national Coffee with a Cop Day at six locations throughout Imperial County.  The time varies for each location.
