Calimesa, California - El Centro Sector Border Patrol agents from the Indio Station Targeted Enforcement Unit (TEU), with assistance from Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) apprehended a convicted child molester illegally present in the United States on Dec. 29, 2015.

Following a nearly six month investigation that included many hours of surveillance and research, the TEU and ICE were able to determine the location of the man identified as Cesar De La Torre.

Agents later arrest the 43-year-old near his home by West Ave L Street.  This area is walking distance to a local middle school.

“Our continuous commitment to collaborate with other law enforcement agencies in the Coachella Valley is vital to help keep our communities safe,” said Special Operations Supervisor Daniel Sandez.

De La Torre, a Mexican citizen, was transported to the Adelanto Detention Facility for processing of removal proceedings.
