Sacramento, California - Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. today announced the following appointments.

Bradd McDannold, 67, of Cottonwood, has been appointed to the 27th District Agricultural Association, Shasta District Fair Board of Directors, where he has served since 2006. McDannold served in several positions in the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office from 1967 to 2002, including detective captain, facility manager lieutenant and construction liaison sergeant. He is a member and past president of the Shasta County Cattlemen’s Association. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. McDannold is a Republican.

Michael Sanders, 68, of Redding, has been appointed to the 27th District Agricultural Association, Shasta District Fair Board of Directors, where he has served since 2008. Sanders has been co-owner and operator at Shasta Printing and Advertising since 1980. He is treasurer and director at the Haven Humane Society, a charter member of the Anderson Exchange Club and a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, Redding East Rotary Club and the Order of the Eastern Star. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Sanders is a Republican.

Patrick Wallner, 53, of Redding, has been appointed to the 27th District Agricultural Association, Shasta District Fair Board of Directors, where he has served since 2001. Wallner has been president at Wallner Plumbing Co. since 1987. He was an expeditor at the Voorwood Company from 1984 to 1987. Wallner is vice president of the National Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors Association and a member of the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials, Redding East Rotary Club, Greater Redding Chamber of Commerce and the Sierra Pacific District Exchange Clubs. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Wallner is a Democrat.

Victor Woolery, 70, of Cottonwood, has been appointed to the 27th District Agricultural Association, Shasta District Fair Board of Directors, where he has served since 2006. Woolery was an owner and manager at Vic’s Branding Iron Restaurant from 2004 to 2013. He held several positions at Woolery Livestock Transportation Inc. from 1969 to 2004, including president, manager and driver. Woolery is a member of the Shasta County Farm Bureau Board of Directors. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Woolery is a Republican.

Kevin Day, 55, of Tuolumne, has been appointed to the 29th District Agricultural Association, Mother Lode Fair Board of Directors, where he has served since 2004. Day has been tribal chairman of the Tuolumne Me-Wuk Tribal Council since 1996. He was an officer at the Tuolumne County Economic Development Authority Governing Board from 2000 to 2004 and served as a correctional officer at the Sierra Conservation Center from 1991 to 2000. He is a member of the Sierra Conservation Center Citizens Advisory Committee, U.S. Bureau of Indian Affairs Advisory Board and the Tuolumne County Chamber of Commerce. Day is vice chair of the Central California Tribal Chairman’s Association. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Day is a Republican.

Tom Miller, 64, of Sonora, has been appointed to the 29th District Agricultural Association, Mother Lode Fair Board of Directors. Miller was an owner and x-ray technician at Fremont Dental X-Ray from 1979 to 2013. He earned a Specialist in Education degree from the University of California, Berkeley Extension. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Miller is registered without party preference.

Maren Paris, 36, of Sonora, has been appointed to the 29th District Agricultural Association, Mother Lode Fair Board of Directors. Paris is a volunteer master gardener for the University of California Cooperative Extension, Tuolumne County Master Gardeners. She is a countywide gardening project leader at the Tuolumne County 4-H. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Paris is registered without party preference.

Mark Erreca, 44, of Los Banos, has been reappointed to the 35th District Agricultural Association, Merced County Fair Board of Directors, where he has served since 2003. Erreca has been principal at the Erreca Cattle Company since 1986 and a real estate agent at PMZ Real Estate since 2008. He was a real estate agent at Century 21 from 2004 to 2008 and at Prudential California from 1994 to 2004. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Erreca is a Democrat.

Flip Hassett, 68, of Merced, has been reappointed to the 35th District Agricultural Association, Merced County Fair Board of Directors, where he has served since 2010. Hassett was executive director at the United Way of Merced County from 2006 to 2014, health and safety director at Owens-Illinois from 2002 to 2006 and a case worker for the Merced County CalWORKs program from 1998 to 2002. Hassett served as a member of the Merced City Council from 1990 to 1995. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Hassett is a Democrat.

Anne Brock, 53, of Mariposa, has been appointed to the 35a District Agricultural Association, Mariposa County Fair Board of Directors. Brock has been a principal software consultant at BMC Software since 2001. She was a customer support manager at Siebel Systems from 1999 to 2001 and a customer support director at Loansoft Inc. from 1998 to 1999 and at PMI Mortgage Insurance from 1993 to 1998. Brock was a help desk manager at NTT Technologies in 1993 and held several positions at Chevron Information Technology Company from 1986 to 1993, including programmer and help desk manager. Brock is a member of the Mariposa Democratic Club, Mariposa County Democratic Central Committee, National Organization for Women and the American Association of University Women. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Brock is a Democrat.

James Lowell Munn, 80, of Coulterville, has been appointed to the 35a District Agricultural Association, Mariposa County Fair and Homecoming Board of Directors, where he has served since 1985. Munn held several positions at the Mariposa County Public Works Department from 1969 to 1994, including senior engineering technician and engineering technician. He was a land surveyor at the Pacific Gas and Electric Company from 1963 to 1969. Munn served as a fire control technician in the U.S. Navy from 1955 to 1958. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Munn is a Republican.
