Riverside, California - In a case stemming from what is believed to be the largest bribe ever accepted by a public official in an undercover operation, a former member of the Moreno Valley City Council was sentenced this afternoon to 60 months in federal prison for taking a $2.36 million cash bribe from an undercover operative posing as a real estate broker.

Fullerton, California - Demes Gourmet Corp., a Fullerton, establishment is recalling approximately 29,052 pounds of poultry and pork products due to misbranding, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today. The chicken sausages were wrapped in hog casings that were not listed on the labels. Hog casings may elicit allergic reactions in the rare cases of individuals known to be allergic to pork proteins.
