Washington, DC - Deputy Secretary of State Antony Blinken will travel to Paris to lead the U.S. delegation to the 38th UNESCO General Conference on November 6, 2015.

At the conference, the Deputy Secretary will deliver the official U.S. statement, highlighting the United States’ commitment to the ideals and aspirations of UNESCO as we pursue a seat on the Executive Board for the coming term. In addition, he will give remarks at a high-level luncheon on Education to Prevent and Counter Violent Extremism that the United States is co-hosting on the margins of the conference.

While in Paris, Deputy Secretary Blinken will also meet with senior French officials to discuss ongoing cooperation on a wide range of bilateral, regional, and global issues.
